A Woman in Grey at St Giles' Church

17 April 2021 (Updated 2 September 2021)

The churchyard at St Giles' church is reportedly haunted by the ghost of a silent woman in grey.

According to Oxfordshire Ghost Stories by Richard Holland, the ghost is of a wealthy woman who is buried in the churchyard and who bequeathed her money to the poor of the parish.

However, her greedy family kept the money for themselves and as a result, the woman's spirit is unable to rest.
